I'm 23 these days.

The other night my good friend Sara came into town for somethin, I don't totally know why, but she did and it was great. At one point prior to dinner, while we were waiting for our other friends to arrive, Mitch (Sara's boyfriend) and I were talking. I couldn't remember how old he was so I asked him, "Mitch, how old are you?" He replied, "I'm 23, but I feel like it's kind of the forgotten age," or something like that. Anyhow, it got me thinking real quick and I said back to him, " I'm 23 too and man, you know what? You're right, it just kinda slips through the cracks." It made me think about how one of my other friends from back home in California kept posting status updates right around her 24th birthbady about how much her 23rd year just really sucked. So based on the limited research on the "forgottenness" of the 23rd year in people's lives, I'm not gonna let mine be forgotten. And so all of this brought about the advent of this blog.

I turned 23 on December 29th. I think that's about 22 days ago. I say "about" because I don't know if I counted it right, but that's about how long ago I turned 23. I'm gonna write a blog everday for the next year to "stick it to the man" (insofar as the man is probably the one who makes everyone forget their 23rd year - or just makes them hate it; and I hate the man for it). So, thanks for not forgetting my 23rd year and I hope you'll join me in sticking it to the man. Hopefully it'll just be crazy - we'll just have to make it crazy.

I may not know you, but I probably love you.
